Wilkes-Barre City Council passes Resolution for the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Grant (JAG)

July 15, 2021, Wilkes-Barre City Council passes Resolution authorizing the proper city officials to prepare and submit for the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Grant (JAG) application in the amount of $26,021.

The purpose areas of the grant are funding for community-based and non-community-based trainings, re-certification trainings, community policing and saturation patrols for violent crime areas.

The Grants.gov deadline to apply for Local JAG funding is 11:59 p.m. ET on July, 26, 2021.
