Use Your Buying Power to Strengthen the Black Community

Shopping at local Black-owned businesses is one way to build solidarity and strengthen the Black Community.

As National Black Business Month comes to an end, I encourage you to continue supporting Black Business throughout the year. -- Diane

We can all do our part to speak out against injustice and inequality when we or others encounter it. But more importantly is the work of rising above discrimination and supporting Black-owned businesses is one way to improve justice and equality in our black communities. These are the restaurants, catering companies, bakeries, boutiques, hair salons, garages, moving companies and more that have our backs each day here in NEPA. The economic strain of COVID-19 has already dealt them a huge blow, and it’s crucial that we show our support today, tomorrow and every day.

No matter where you are in North East Pennsylvania, you can find a black owned business near you!
